"Violent curves generated by the crack of a whip,” encapsulates the essence and character of Art Nouveau, as described by a 20th-century sculptor Hermann Obrist. Although the movement itself was ephemeral, it had a resounding impact on the world of art; so much so, that it is still heavily prevalent in the fashion and design hemispheres of today.
